Rare-Earth Doped Crystals for Quantum Photonics

Abstract

Rare-earth ions combine long-lived optical and spin transitions at low temperatures, a unique case in the solid state. Recent developments in rare-earth platforms for optical quantum technologies like as quantum memories will be discussed.
