Abstract
The nonlinear nature of coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) leads to drift and shot-to-shot variations in signal strength making quantitative concentration measurements difficult. We report CARS measurements using polarization analysis to separate the anti-Stokes signal into predominantly Raman (resonant) and electronic (nonresonant) components for subsequent independent detection.
