Abstract
Butt-coupled fiber grating lasers (FGLs)1-3 can be viable alternatives to conventional external-cavity semiconductor lasers (ECSLs) or distributed feedback lasers because they can provide narrow-linewidth, stable single-mode lasing, and are of small size, low chirp, and less costly.
