Abstract
We demonstrate the distributed measurement of Brillouin dynamic grating spectrum in a polarization maintaining fiber based on time-domain analysis. By synchronized propagation of the pump and the probe pulses, the local spectrum of Brillouin dynamic grating is acquired together with the local Brillouin gain spectrum in a single experimental setup. The temperature sensitivity as high as −370 MHz/°C is observed with a spatial resolution of 1.5 m.
