Sensitivity Enhancement of Brillouin Frequency Shift Measurement Based on Multispectral Pump and Probe

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a novel method for measuring the change in Brillouin frequency shift in an optical fiber with high sensitivity using multispectral pump and probe. Experimental result shows 600 times sensitivity enhancement.
