High-Speed IQ Modulator Based on Injection-Locked VCSEL Array

Abstract

We demonstrate an IQ modulator by employing two monolithic injection-locked VCSELs which are driven to produce pure amplitude modulation. QPSK signals are produced at 10 GBaud with a peak-to-peak modulation voltage of 600 mV.
