UV Written 2×8 Optical Power Splitter for FTTH Applications

Abstract

Silica based integrated optical 2×8 power splitters are reported for the first time using UV-writing waveguide fabrication technology. High performance, compactness and low production costs make these components well suited for deployment in FTTH networks.
