Nanostructured Solar Cells: Surface Textures and Quantum Dots

Abstract

Nanotechnology provides a means of realising more efficient solar cells. Improved absorption and a broadband response can be achieved using sub-wavelength surface textures and semiconductor quantum dots, respectively. We investigate these approaches.
