Abstract

Recent advances in Raman fiber lasers are reviewed, including high-efficiency cascaded generation with random distributed feedback in polarization-maintaining fiber, its nonlinear conversion in PPLN and Bi-doped-fiber, active Q-switching and mode-locking, direct pumping by multimode LDs.
