Protoporphyrin as Biomarker for in Vivo detection of Oral Precancer by Fluorescence Spectroscopy

Abstract

In-vivo testing by an in-house developed handheld probe is carried out on cancerous, precancerous and normal groups with protoporphyrin as biomarker. The three groups are differentiate with high sensitivity and specificity.
