Abstract

A cascaded taper Mach-Zehnder interferometer based hydrophone has been demonstrated for low frequency seismometric applications. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed hydrophone exhibits an average sensitivity of 4.7 nm/kPa over frequency range of 15-100 Hz.
