Ultra-broadband Optical Parametric Amplifiers

Abstract

Parametric interactions in non-linear crystals allow to generate ultrabroadband tunable pulses. In this paper we review work done in the visible and present recent extensions to the near-infrared and UV spectral ranges, by means of optical parametric amplification and frequency up-conversion.
