High power, 60MHz, cryogenically cooled, mode-locked, Yb:YAG oscillator

Abstract

We demonstrate a 60MHz, cryogenically cooled, mode-locked Yb:YAG oscillator with up to 12W average output power. Mode-locking is achieved via a SESAM, an intracavity SHG crystal, and an iris near focus for spatial mode filtering.
