Compact 7.4 W femtosecond oscillator for white-light generation and nonlinear microscopy

Abstract

We present a passively mode-locked two-crystal Yb:KGW oscillator delivering 7.4 W average power at a repetition rate of 41.7 MHz and 425 fs pulse duration and demonstrate the generation of high-power supercontinua in tapered fibers.
