Abstract

We demonstrated a monolithic frequency comb platform based on interband cascade lasers. We show self-starting frequency combs operation utilizing the inherent gain non-linearity and exceptionally fast and sensitive room-temperature photodetection to enable on-chip multi-heterodyne detectors.
