Abstract
We demonstrate an optical beam steering device in InGaAsP multiple quantum wells. Electrical currents are injected through two parallel electrodes, separated by a 20-µm gap. By varying this current ratio, an optical beam is confined by the waveguide formed by the distribution of carriers, is steered continuously across the gap.
