Polarization-Selective Tunable Delay in Coupled-Resonator Optical Delay-Lines

We experimentally demonstrate that an integrated reconfigurable coupled-resonator optical waveguide can introduce a continuously tunable delay between two data-streams with orthogonal polarization states. Applications to polarization-division multiplexing transmission systems at several Gbit/s bit-rates are discussed.
