Abstract

The influence of core position and band alignment on the nonlinear optical response of CdSe/CdS Dot-in-Rod heterostructures is investigated in this work. Briefly, we show that it is possible to control the magnitude of the two-photon absorption in these nanostructures by simply changing the core size and its position within the nanorod.
