Neural Network Prediction of Engine Performance for Second Pulse Fire/No Fire Decision Making in Dual Pulse Laser Ignited Engines

Abstract

The benefits of firing the second laser pulse controlled by predicting the performance of a cycle from the cylinder pressure earlier in the cycle are investigated using methods that uses curve matching and neural networks.
