Multi-core holey fibers for the long-distance (>100 km) ultra large capacity transmission

Novel holey fibers with 7 cores and ultra wide transmission bandwidth over 500–1700 nm have been developed. By optimizing the core intervals, the transmission capability more than 100 km can be realized.
