ENHANCED DETECTION OF VIBRATIONS USING FIBER FABRY PEROT FILTERS AND SPECTRAL ESTIMATION TECHNIQUES

Abstract

We report on high sensitivity detection of acoustic signals using Fiber Bragg grating-based Fabry-Perot filters. Our scheme is based on an APD-based receiver with bandpass filter, 16-bit ADCs, and novel spectrum estimation techniques.
