Pointing Characteristics of X-rays Generated by Relativistic Electron Acceleration via 45 TW fs Laser-He Plasma1

Abstract

We present measurements on the pointing characteristics of the x-ray sources driven by 45 TW, 25 fs laser pulses interacting with variable pressure He-jet. Betatron-type radiation along with 100 MeV directional quasi-monoenergetic electrons are observed.
