Light Field denoising by thermal ensemble equivalence

Abstract

Under low light conditions, sensor noise perturbs the photodetection distribution. Using light field cameras, we present a biased estimator that reduces sensor noise and is equivalent to the maximum likelihood estimator under high illumination conditions.
