Focus stacking and 3D visualization in multispectral microscopy of thick samples

Abstract

A custom built fluorescence microscope with an electrically tunable lens is used to acquire multi-focus z-stacks of thick biological samples under multispectral illumination. Acquired information allows for 3D visualization of the sample after stack processing.
