Abstract

This paper discusses results obtained in a Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) test of a full-scale composite aircraft part using Fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs). The FBGs were bonded to the surface of the aircraft part to monitor the part before and after localized damage was created.
