Abstract

The miniature dual-inline (mini-DIL) pump laser becomes more attactive for compact optical amplifiers designs due to the advantage of smaller footprint, lower power consumption and lower cost. In this paper we report the development of small form factor, high power “cooled” mini-DIL 980-nm pump lasers module for compact EDFA application.
