SPM Suppression by Clipping for Optical Transmission Systems with Electrical Dispersion Predistortion

Abstract

We investigate amplitude clipping for electrical-dispersion-predistorted 10-Gb/s optical fiber transmission systems. Simulation shows that amplitude clipping can effectively suppress SPM-induced nonlinear impairment.
