Abstract
A cross-slot waveguide filled with electro-optic polymer is proposed to release the polarization-dependent issue of the electro-optic modulator. This waveguide can confine both the TE and TM modes. The silicon regions can be doped as the electrodes. With optimal voltages, the Mach-Zehnder modulator based on such waveguide can achieve polarization-insensitive.
