Abstract

In this paper, spectroscopic properties of Tm3+/Yb3+ codoped tellurite glass were analyzed by J–O theory. The glass was pumped by 808nm and 980nm laser respectively. Results indicate to Tm3+/Yb3+ codoped glass, 980nm laser can be a good pump source to get a laser working in 1.4μm.
