Abstract

LEDs are the ideal components to support Global Care activities and to enhance the quality of life by adaptive light solutions. Rapid developments in brightness levels and color quality of LED mean that we can expect many further innovations in entirely new areas of application. Designers and architects are making full use of the light sources, creating extravagant lighting systems that catch the eye. Public authorities are looking for more and more long-life eco-friendly LED lighting systems for street lighting and architectural illumination. This presentation will discuss the success factors of LED in different SSL exterior and interior applications and how to make the best use of LED with optimized system design and lighting design according to market trends and standardization.
