Abstract

In this paper we proposed a SiON layer deposited on the surface of AlGaInP LED used to decrease total internal reflection. Light propagation property of this layer was simulated by the transmission matrix method. The results of the experiment showed that optical power increased by 11.38% after LED encapsulation.
