Abstract

In this paper, we proposed a stable room temperature multiwavelength erbium-doped fiber laser by incorporating a section of Highly Nonlinear Fiber (HNLF) and a Polarization Maintaining Fiber (PMF) based Sagnac filter. The laser is able to realize 16~ wavelengths simultaneous lasing spaced at 0.4nm with an extinction ratio of higher than 50dB and excellent stability within the power non-uniformity of less than 0.5dB.
