Abstract

A corrugation-pitch-modulated (CPM) distributed feedback (DFB) semiconductor laser based on reconstruction-equivalent-chirp (REC) technology is first experimentally demonstrated. The laser can suppress spatial hole burning (SHB) effectively and operates in good stable single longitudinal mode even the injection current very high.
