A wedge-to-wedge plasmonic waveguide for subwavelength confinement and long-range propagation

Abstract

We propose a novel surface plasmon-polariton waveguide constructed by a wedge-to-wedge structure. The waveguide is based on the metal-insulator-metal mechanism, which enables nanometer light confinement and keeps longer propagation length at the telecom wavelengths.
