Best Fit Decreasing based Defragmentation Algorithm in Semi-dynamic Elastic Optical Path Networks

Abstract

We propose a novel spectrum defragmentation algorithm in semi-dynamic elastic optical networks by introducing best fit decreasing strategy, numerical evaluation shows that the improvement of the blocking performance and small amount number of interrupted connections are achieved simultaneously.
