Modeling of mid-infrared fiber optical parametric oscillator

Abstract

We propose and numerically investigate mid-infrared fiber optical parametric oscillator (mid-IR FOPO) using the degenerated four-wave-mixing (FWM) of photonic crystal fiber. Based on the modified FWM-based coupled-wave equations, the operation characteristics of such mid-IR FOPO are discussed and optimized in detail.
