Depletion Characteristics of the Gain Spectrum in Fiber Brillouin Amplifiers

Abstract

We study the Brillouin gain depletion as the probe frequency is tuned across the gain spectrum. A broadening of the Brillouin gain spectrum is observed as the probe is tuned to the edges of the spectrum.
