Abstract

We propose a novel multi-photon evanescent wave (MPEW) excitation modality for upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs) based microscopy. Experimental results show this new imaging method for UCNPs is nonscanning, ultrahigh contrast and high spatiotemporal resolution.
