Abstract

Experimental investigations of interchannel crosstalk characteristics of a highly-integrated silicon-photonic WDM receiver are described. The high-frequency electrical crosstalk is well suppressed to about -20 dB by introducing the electrically-isolated structure based on a Si-Ge-silica photonic platform. In order to evaluate under a practical condition, we perform data transmission at 12 Gbit/s and measure the receiver sensitivity and crosstalk power penalty.
