Performance Sensitivity of Dispersion Compensation-free All-optical OFDM Transmission Systems to Electro-absorption Modulator-based Sampling Gate Width

Abstract

Numerical simulations are undertaken to investigate the impact of electro-absorption modulator-based sampling gate width on the performance sensitivity of dispersion compensation-free AOOFDM systems. Results show that CD significantly increases the sensitivity to the gate width.
