Fiber Fault Magnitude Recognition in Passive Optical Network

Abstract

A method to interpret the trace from an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer is proposed. It is capable of retrieving a true loss event magnitude from a masked signature. It supports various architectures of Passive Optical Network.
