Adaptive Transmissions in Elastic Optical OFDM Systems

Abstract

By considering nonlinear effects of Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM) and amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) noise due to optical amplifiers, a novel adaptive transmission strategy in Elastic Optical OFDM Systems is developed and the corresponding optimization problem is formulated.
