Abstract
Laser speckle contrast imaging has been widely attempted to detect the blood flow changes in biological tissues, such as brain, skin, retina and so on with high spatial and temporal resolution. However, this technique suffers from the problem of shallow sampling depth of blood flow, which mainly reflects the superficial blood flow of biological tissue. Here recent technical progresses on improving the sampling depth of laser speckle contrast imaging were reviewed and discussed.
