Abstract
High repetition rate (50 MHz) femtosecond laser (fs) with a central wavelength of 1040 nm is employed to produce nano ripples on the surface of an nature diamond. The vector diffraction theory is used to explain the nanoscale structures in the deep ablation hole. The periods of the ripples and the nano ripples at the inside wall of the ablation hole are investigated in the report.
