Proposal of Sampled Brillouin Dynamic Gratings

Abstract

We first report and numerically investigate sampled Brillouin dynamic gratings (SDBG) realized in optical fibers. The introduction of sample as an extra degree of freedom opens up possibilities for frequency control of stimulated Brillouin scattering.
