A Novel Energy-Efficiency Algorithm in Impairment-Aware Flexible-Grid Optical Networks

Abstract

We propose an energy-aware algorithm based on impairment-aware information (EAIA) to improve the energy efficiency in flexible-grid optical networks. Simulation results validate that our proposed EAIA algorithm have higher energy efficiency than traditional energy-aware algorithm without impairment information.
