A Hybrid Wifi-Modbus Wireless Smart Meter Reading Scheme Based On Radio-Over-Fiber Systems

Abstract

A new smart meter reading system is proposed based on radio-over-fiber through combining WiFi with wireless Modbus protocol to solve shortcomings of traditional technology. Based on this system, high-speed, flexible, safe communication can be achieved.
