Refractive Index Sensitivity of Gold Coated Tilt Long-Period Fiber Gratings Using Electrostatic Self-Assembly Technology

We demonstrate the fabrication of the gold coated tilt long-period fiber gratings. The grating resonance wavelength was found to shift toward longer wavelength with increasing surrounding index, which is opposite to that of bare gratings.
