Complete Power Conversion in the Cascaded Fiber Optical Parametric Amplifier by Inserting the Idler-Phase-Shifters

Abstract

A novel gain enhancement scheme for the fiber-optic parametric amplifiers is reported in this paper. By inserting the idler-phase-shifters among several segments of highly nonlinear fibers, complete power conversion of pump-to-signal can be obtained.
