A New Concentric Micro-ring Structure with High Side-mode Suppression and Deep Transmission Notches

Abstract

A concentric micro-ring resonator with different waveguide width was investigated. This optimized structure can eliminate the resonance effect between rings. Meanwhile, the resonant frequency shift is improved when used in sensing.
